Marcus Grönholm and Peugeot won the Rally Finland 2004 . It is Marcus’ and Peugeot’s 4th victory in Finland in 5 years! And what a nice place for a Peugeot 307 debut victory as you are pushed hard to find a rally where victory says more about a car’s performance! The stages almost saw no retirements, most drivers were taking it steady, but we whitnessed a brilliant fight for places 7, 8 & 9. It was a good event for everybody, bar maybe Subaru, who lost both cars on day1. Subaru can be proud of winning every stage in leg3, however a slightly doubtful claim since Grönholm and Märtin were driving for a finish.
